About Dr. Cesar
Dr. Caroline Cesar started her dental practice in Abbotsford in 1994. In 2004, she relocated to the present location on Bourquin Crescent West.
You will hear Dr. Cesar talking all the time and laughing, as she feels going to the dentist should be a favourable experience and fun. Dr. Cesar and her dedicated staff strive to deliver the highest level of dental care in an environment that is as comfortable as possible.
She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology, and she later obtained her dental degree (DMD) in 1989.
Her son, Dr Christopher Louie, joined her practice in 2019.
What sparked your interest in dentistry?
The great thing about being a dentist is that you get to work with people. Dentistry is a people profession, and I truly enjoy spending the day with my staff and our patients. Being a dentist gave me the chance to build the team that I want to work with to deliver our services to our patients with excellence.
What is your favourite part about working at Bourquin Dental?
We treat our patients and our staff like family. Patients are part of our big family. I love to see the children of our patients growing up over time.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Travelling, biking, reading, running, photography and watching rom-com shows.

About Dr. Christopher Louie
Dr. Chris Louie was raised and educated in Abbotsford, British Columbia. After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at the University of British Columbia, he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Sydney.
Dr. Louie is enthusiastic about providing his patients with the best possible dental treatment, using the latest evidence-based techniques. His goal is to tailor patients’ treatment to their individual needs in a comfortable setting. He strives for excellence by completing advanced dental courses, such as the curriculum at the Kois Centre in Washington, the Pankey Institute in Florida, and composite restoration training with Dr Newton Fahl in Brazil. He also attends numerous meetings including the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
What do you like to do when you're not working?
Outside the office, he enjoys climbing and outdoor activities, especially hiking and road cycling.

As a child, I was very afraid of going to the dentist—now, I hope to help others overcome that same fear and feel at ease during their visits.

What sparked your interest in dentistry?
Working in the dental field sparked my interest because I genuinely enjoy building lasting relationships with families and helping them feel comfortable and at ease in the dental office. Creating a positive experience for patients—especially those who may feel anxious—gives me a strong sense of purpose and fulfillment.

I truly love being part of the team at Bourquin Dental. It’s a supportive, positive environment where everyone works together, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know our patients and being part of their dental care journey.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I’ve always had a passion for the dental field. Oral care and hygiene are things I’ve cared deeply about from a young age, so getting the opportunity to work in this field feels like a dream come true.

“As a new arrival in Abbotsford and needing dental care I found this office via internet and made an appointment. Upon entering I was greeted and due to Covid 19 procedures I was advised to sanitize and put on proper protective clothing including a mask and await the start of my appointment.
I was called in by name and taken to what appeared to be a properly protected and sanitized treatment area. The assistant informed me of what was going to happen after having me use a rinse due to the pandemic.
The dental assistant and the dentist, Dr. Louie then gave me a thorough examination with x-rays and cleaning in the most professional manner. I was informed of the results of the examination and the further appointment was made for treatment that was required.
The office and treatment areas were very clean and seem to be equipped with the most modern equipment. I will definitely be returning in the future along with my spouse as I was impressed with the care and treatment I received from everyone.”

Payment: The complete cost of the dental visit will be due on the date of service. Payment can be made by: cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard or debit.

Dental Insurance: If you have a dental insurance plan, we will file your dental claims/ pre-determinations as a courtesy. If your dental insurance or personal information changes it is your responsibility to notify Bourquin Dental Centre of those changes at your earliest convenience.
Once you have been presented with a personalized treatment plan, our administrative team can send a pre-authorization to your insurance company to verify plan coverage and benefits. Please note that these are strictly estimates of treatment costs and are not a guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse us the full cost of your treatment.
We emphasize that as dental care providers, our relationship is with you, not your insurance company. While the filing of insurance claims is a courtesy that we extend to all of our patients, all charges are your responsibility from the date services are provided.
